Yes ! Psychosocial services offered by social workers are covered by most insurance companies. Especially since the pandemic, many have expanded their accessibility policy on psychological health care. It is your responsibility to check with your insurer about your insurance coverage.

Yes ! I issue you a receipt as a social worker member of my Professional Order (OTSTCFQ). It will be emailed to you at the end of each meeting so that you can file your claim with your insurer. Otherwise, it is also possible to add them to your tax return, in the medical expenses section. 

Yes ! Law 25 is there to protect you. As the person responsible for the protection of personal information in my company, my obligations include: applying the Act, responding to requests, implementing governance rules, keeping communication records, notifying the Commission d’accès à l’information of any confidentiality incident and keep a register of confidentiality incidents. Other measures will be put in place by 2024, I will keep you posted 🙂

Of course ! My psychosocial services are offered to anyone aged 6 and over, but I will need consent from both parents. I also wants to meet both parents at the first assessment meeting. 

Be aware that a minor child aged 14 and over has the right to seek psychological health care alone, without the consent of his parents.
